Out-of-Network
We provide a super bill to allow for out-of-network reimbursement. You will need to contact your insurance company to verify out-of-network reimbursement rates.
Patients with no insurance or who hold out-of-network plans are required to pay in-full at the time of service.
We check your benefits as a courtesy prior to your first appointment, however insurance companies do not guarantee payment when they quote benefits. Everyone’s policy is different, even within the same insurance company. It is ultimately your responsibility to understand your plan benefits, as you are responsible for the bill you incur.
Before your scheduled appointment, you must call the customer service number on the back of your card and ask the following questions:
How much is my deductible?
How much will I owe for an outpatient mental health office visit with a LMFT?
Do I need an authorization number or pre-approval?
Is telehealth covered?
How many visits do I have per year?
Full payment of co-pay and co-insurance is due at the time of service. If your insurance company pays only part of your bill or rejects a claim, you are financially responsible for the remaining balance. Outstanding balances must be satisfied prior to additional services being scheduled.

No Surprises Act Disclosure
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services:
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
